CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear Colleagues:

 

On behalf of the Steering and Programme Committee members, I would like to invite you to participate in the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENGINEERING EDUCATION for the Year 2000 (ICEE-2000), to be held in Taipei and Tainan, Taiwan, during 14-18 August, 2000.

Since early 1990's, many countries have made efforts in improving the quality of engineering education in universities. In the past few years, the series of ICEEs, including ICEE-1997 held in Chicago and Carbondale, ICEE-1998 (http://www.ctc.puc-rio.br/icee-98) in Rio de Janeiro, and ICEE-1999 (http://www.fs.vsb.cz/akce/1999/icee99/welcome.htm) in Ostrava & Prague, have attracted many experts to share their experiences and promote international collaboration. Further details on the ICEE concept is attached on a following page.

We are honored to host the next conference in Taiwan in August 2000. Enclosed please find a copy of the " Call for Papers" and the abstract submission form. March. 3 Notice of acceptance
May 15 Camera-ready manuscripts due
June 30 Pre-registration deadline

The Conference programme includes invited keynote speeches, contributed papers in sessions and panel discussions. The Conference papers will be published in electronic Conference Proceedings via Internet and CD-ROM and in an abstract proceedings.

Abstract Submission: Submit Your Abstract Now!

Prospective authors are requested to submit abstracts of 300-500 words each in English. File formats are restricted to the .doc or PostScript file. Three (3) methods are available for abstract submission:

  1. Submission using the submission form including author-name(s), complete mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. Please also indicate a contact person for further correspondence.
  2. Website Electronic Submission through http://icee2000.nctu.edu.tw.
  3. E-mail electronic submission to cpa@cc.nctu.edu.tw.
  4. Regular Mail Submission: Send 6 copies of your abstract along with your ICEE-2000 submission form which appears on a separate page attached to the present Call for Papers. Mailing address is:
