UMIST, Manchester, Great Britain, August 18-22, 2002
Papers are solicited on the subject of modern concepts, tools and examples concerning remote education in the control and identification fields. Topics include delivering control and identification oriented lectures by means of internetworking mechanisms as well as developing the network accessed laboratory exercises, including virtual laboratories. Papers on the integration of control design tools, real-time tools, complex dynamic systems simulations and identification and estimation packages with remote network based access to the laboratory exercise site are especially welcome. Other topics for discussion include but are not limited to the methodology of control and/or identification network based education, tools and standards for including interactive examples components and complex mathematical formulae in network delivered lectures as well as multimedia tools for control and/or identification experiments presentation.
This conference emphasizes development of international partnerships in education and research. Through special sessions and international workshops, it provides ample opportunity for discussing future cooperative projects.
