UMIST, Manchester, Great Britain, August 18-22, 2002
Papers are solicited on the area of web-based teaching. The web is often used for providing course materials such as lecture notes, animated simulations, assignments and online tests. The emphasis and spotlight have been on frameworks for providing online-course content and assessment through online-tests. However, there are many other subtle phases in the learning process. The aim of this session is to bring together educators that experiment with innovative and alternative uses of web technology in teaching in an attempt to go beyond the established use of web technology in engineering education.
This conference emphasizes development of international partnerships in education and research. Through special sessions and international workshops, it provides ample opportunity for discussing future cooperative projects.
