Accreditation
and Quality Assessment
Papers
on completed work as well as ongoing activities are welcome.
Institutions are accountable and fully responsible for quality assurance
and control. Procedures and decisions concerning the quality of educational
services provided should be based on specific criteria, which are transparent,
systematic and open to scrutiny.
Topics
could include (but not be limited to):
Reporting on the institutional management of standards and quality.
Reporting on the quality of learning opportunities.
Quality Assurance Agencies, programmes and networks.
Transferability of engineering qualifications and/or credentials.
Worldwide accreditation.
Credit transfer.
Recruitment methods.
Protection of students and employers from fraudulent institutions and
awards.
This
conference emphasizes globalisation and strategic alliances in education
and research. Through special sessions and international workshops, it
provides ample opportunity for discussing future cooperative projects.
IMPORTANT
DATES:
January 30, 2003: Abstract due (submit through website indicated below,
with e-mail to Session Chair. Be sure to begin the text of your abstract
with the title of this session)
February 15, 2003: Notice of preliminary acceptance
April 15, 20003: Paper submission deadline
May 1, 2003: Early registration deadline (required for final acceptance
of papers)
May 15, 2003: Deadline for authors' registration to ensure publishing
of submitted papers
