International
Conference on Engineering Education and Research
iCEER-2004
CALL FOR PAPERS
ADVANCES IN NUMERICAL AND STATISTICAL METHODS
EDUCATION
Papers are solicited on the subject of modern concepts, tools and examples concerning education in numerical and statistical methods, and their implementation on computer systems. Topics include adoption of uniform computing platforms across academic programs, such as Matlab, Mathematica, and Mathcad. Papers on instruction in the fundamentals of numerical/statistical analysis such as error propagation, linear and nonlinear regression, and optimization, and especially the integration of these topics with engineering concepts are especially welcome. Other topics include but are not limited to the methodology of practical engineering statistics and probability education, quadrature and ODE integration algorithms, and new interactive and multimedia methods for illustrating the analysis and regression of experimental data, as well as development of computational tools for data acquisition.
.
This conference emphasizes development of international partnerships in education and research. Through special sessions and international workshops, it provides ample opportunity for discussing future cooperative projects.
